The architecture is contemporary, respecting the Mediterranean cultural tradition by revisiting the patio houses. Landscape includes areas of vineyards, olive groves, oranges and “montado” so that the natural territory vegetation is maintained.
The vineyard and wine culture are more than landmarks in the landscape: the Wine Club is the unifying element of L’AND´s life. Owners can have their own vineyard, produce their own wine each year, using the resort´s cellar, and are invited to regular wine events such as the annual harvest party.
Owners at L’AND have preferred access to the services of the resort’s five-star hotel, being able to enjoy the two restaurants, the indoor and the outdoor pool, the Spa, the sauna and the hammam, as well as the lake, under special terms.
Villas range from 3Bedroom to 6 Bedroom, between 174 sqm and 325 sqm. They are located in large plots (between 2050 and 8000 sqm) with private vineyards (as an option) outdoor living area, orchard, and garden.
The villas are sold off plan allowing owners to customize their house and build their ideal home.
ALICANTE BOUSCHET VILLAS
Each Villa is carefully integrated into the landscape, in order to ensure total privacy, tranquillity and astonishing views. Built with natural materials, such as stone and natural wood, the Villas are based on the contemporary reinterpretation of Mediterranean courtyard houses and designed in such a way as to allow a fluid and natural connection between the indoor and the outdoor space. In large plots, the architecture of L’AND favors the experience of the natural spaces in complete privacy. Together with the vineyard, the units have also orange orchards, olive groves and almond trees, which, besides acting as landscaping elements, are also intended to enable the residents to have access to their own production
The ALICANTE BOUSCHET Villas are designed by SERGISON BATES Architects.
These villas are built around a central courtyard that acts as the heart of the house, looking over the scenery and the sky, similar to the ancient Roman villas. The ALICANTE BOUSCHET Villas are located near resorts center, benefiting from a unique view to Montemor-o-Novo’s Castle.
Buildings are set in a loose and organic structure. The existing topography is subtly adjusted to accommodate the houses and pools, whilst preserving the agrarian character of the landscape.
Each villa sits within an autonomous space, the boundaries of which are either visible (such as low walls) or just implied (rows of olive trees, for example). These informal elements are arranged methodically to a shared central space that slopes across the site. Low walls form the boundaries of this shared space, whilst providing, simultaneously, an element of privacy to the houses. Visitor parking is organized around a group of trees and a water tank, whilst an unpretentious pavilion provides a covered space for public activities.

ANTÃO VAZ VILLAS
Each villa is carefully integrated into the landscape, ensuring privacy, tranquility and extraordinary views. Designed by Carrilho da Graça, the Antão Vaz villas privilege the experience of natural spaces in total privacy.
The villas are connected to the outside through large windows and patios, allowing the use of the garden and swimming pool.
The horizontality, which evokes the architecture of the region, contrasts with the verticality of the towers that rise at the end, conquering the view over the city and the castle. With large plots of land, the residences are long and horizontal, establishing the limits of each plot. Along with the vineyard, the units also have orchards of orange, olive and almond trees which, in addition to acting as landscaping elements, also allow residents to use their own production.
This project is recognized for its discreet elegance and perfect integration with nature, providing a calm and sophisticated atmosphere to the owners, inviting to a new way of experiencing the countryside and relating to the landscape. The transition from the social area to the outside is delimited by a pergola and the adjacent building, instead of walls or fences. The living room is longitudinal, allowing a perfect living between the spaces inside and outside the house.
TOURIGA FRANCA
Designed by Peter Maerkli, the TOURIGA FRANCA residences are an impressive contemporary homage to the traditional noble country villa.
Located at the highest hill of the resort, the Villas benefit from unique views to the vineyards valley, serene oak trees plains and the Montemor Castle. A palatial living room, with very highceilings, connects to the external patio and a large pool.
In large plots, the architecture favors the experience of the natural spaces in complete privacy. Together with the vineyard, the units have also orange orchards, olive groves and almond trees, which, besides acting as landscaping elements, are also intended to enable the residents to have access to their own production.
Each unit is organised in accordance with the existing topography, at a specific elevation.
At the heart of the plans for the different house typologies the intention was to create a structure that could both integrate and bring out a variety of external spaces. All these spaces were arranged around the units and embedded in them. Transition from the public area to the entrance patio is delineated mostly by a pergola and by the contiguous buildings, rather than by walls or fences.
Bearing in mind the intention – to have open surroundings – no interior patio has been created.
The protruding living room and the big overhanging roof shape the centre of the unit, in the form of an inverted patio.
The design of the swimming pool, terrace garden, exterior walls and seating area in the shade under the shelter offer residents the grandiosity of the view and total privacy.

At L’AND Vineyards guests are invited to immerse themselves in local traditions and cultural heritage, and can find a curated selection of experiences and customized activities. If guests enjoy wine and are interested in oenology, they can visit the local vineyards, attend courses about the grape varieties and production held at the resort cellar, participate in guided wine tasting sessions of regional and local wines and learn the principles of biodynamic winemaking, and make their own personalized wine
Guests can stargaze the Dark Sky, discover the region’s rich gastronomy, enjoy a birds-eye view of the undulating plains as they glide over Alentejo at sunrise or sunset during a hot-air balloon ride, or enjoy a visit the most interesting cultural sites of Évora, the regional capital, layered with history and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and other cities in Alentejo under the expert guidance of a historian.
